Green eyes:geographical distribution and is also depend on the quantity of pigment called melanin present in iris i.e. with the large or with the small amount of melanin eye color is defined. A small amount of melanin gives blue eye color and large amount of melanin gives green color of eyes.
The green color of eyes are commonly found with highest ratio among the people
of Hungarian which is round approx 20% also found among the people of Celtic, salvic and Germany. These are also found in less proportion among the people of Middle East to southern Asia particularly in Afghanistan and Iran.
Inheritance:
It has been well explained by geneticist about the inheritance of blue, green and brown eyes, out of which it has been found that green is dominant over blue i.e. if one of the parent is having blue eyes and another is having green than their offspring is most expected to have green eyes. However in case of one parent having green eyes and another having brown eyes, their offspring is expected to have brown eyes i.e. brown is dominant over green.
