Smokey eyes - For the trendy girl
These days every one seems to be looking for that smokey eye effect. It is a very dramatic look that looks good on women with any complexion.
Following are some of the tips you could follow to create the effect -
1) It is important to prep the eye by applying a concealer so that the make up does not melt and creates a perfect base for the
eye shadow.
2) Crease the eye with a taupe or gray colored eye shadow and apply it to the eye. Define the eye well and make sure you create a blended effect. Use a lighter highlighting color for the finish to add more glamour to the look.
3) Sweep the same color around the corner of the eye and beneath the lashes and smudge a liner deeply into the lashes.
4) Finally coat your eyes with your favorite mascara. You might need to add many coats of it.
5) Make sure you powder your eyes after applying mascara, so that they do not stick together, because that will spoil the look.
6) To avoid the fading of the color and add a little shimmer to your eyelids put a cream shadow to the congealer and wait for 5 minutes before powdering a shadow.

Creating smoky eyes without a mess
It is possible that while creating the smokey eyes there might be a lot of mess created, primarily if you have lot of oil on the lids. The trick to reduce the mess is to prep the eye with a product that reduces the mess. There are many brands that manufacture such products.
Tips for puffy eyes -
If you have puffy eyes the smokey eye make up will not look good. What you can do in this case is, splash cold water on your face at least 10 times a day for several weeks. This will reduce the puffiness to a large extent. Put a bit of moisturizer and under-eye cream before putting the smokey eye make up.
